Leadership Is Not Just Giving Instructions Leadership can be misunderstood. Some people think being a leader means having the authority to tell everyone what to do.I think leadership is much more demanding than that. A leader has to make decisions when the answer isn't obvious. They have to take responsibility when things go wrong. They have to listen to people who may know something they don't. They have to correct people without destroying their confidence. And sometimes, they have to make an unpopular decision because it is the right thing for the organisation. Giving instructions is easy, getting people to understand why something matters is harder. Building a team that can make good decisions even when you are not in the room is harder still. That is why I don't think the best leaders are necessarily the loudest people in the room. Sometimes the strongest leader is the person who creates clarity, takes responsibility, gives others room to perform, and steps in when the team genuinely needs direction. Leadership is not about being the most important person in the room. It is about making the people and organization around you better. #Leadership#Management#Teamwork#PersonalGrowth
