The Difference Between Being Busy and Being Productive One of the easiest traps to fall into at work is confusing being busy with being productive. You can spend eight hours answering messages, attending meetings, checking emails and jumping from one task to another and still finish the day without moving anything important forward. Being busy means you are doing things. Being productive means the things you are doing are actually creating progress. Sometimes productivity means closing your laptop and focusing on one important problem instead of responding to every notification. Sometimes it means delegating a task instead of trying to do everything yourself. And sometimes it means saying “no” to something that feels urgent but isn't actually important. The real question at the end of the day shouldn't be: “How much did I do?” It should be: “What actually changed because I did it?” That question can completely change the way you work. #Productivity#WorkSmart
