Why Accountability Should Not Mean Blame There is a big difference between accountability and blame. Blame asks: Who caused this problem? Accountability asks: What happened, what was our responsibility, and how do we prevent it from happening again? That difference matters. If every mistake is treated like an opportunity to punish someone, people eventually become afraid to report problems. They hide mistakes, they avoid difficult conversations, they wait until a small problem becomes a big one. A healthy organization should still hold people responsible. Accountability doesn't mean allowing poor performance to continue. But accountability should come with fairness. Understand what happened. #Accountability#Leadership#WorkplaceCulture#Management#swepty
